This is the current progress I have made on my music  magazine contents page I have so far got my stories and page numbers on my contents page but I still have to put up an image of my model on my contents page and the image has to be different from the image on my magazine cover.

This is the current progress I have  made on my music magazine and I have also added my bar code and I need to upload my models image and also add a price tag to my magazine as well as adding a production date on it .

Research and planning: costume examples

These are the  kind of outfits I would like to use for my
model costume and i choose red ant white so that it matches the background and colour of my magazine and I choose the little red dress because she is pop star likes small outfits and baggy shorts to compliment her shape and bring out the figure from her little red top and also because the baggy shorts are free for her to walk around in and are comfortable.

I have decided to use a red boot with white lining so it can match the outfits. with this costume this will be the image on my magazine cover page.

These  are the kind of outfits my model will use for my contents page just to make it a mix  of colour and show variety. of clothes and style.

 This is the kind of outfit I will probably  use for my model's coustume for the double page spread depending on the story on my double page spread.

This is the current progress I have made in the production of music magazine and it has the mast head  slugline and also a website link at the bottom of the page now I need to put an image of my model and also the sub stories that would be on my music magazine contents page and also the date and my bar code and price tag and this I will do according to my audience research. 

Research and Planning:Draft for double page spread

 

This is the draft for my double page spread  for for my music magazine there will be a main story and the writing will be more than than the  images and the image has to match font colour and page layout as well as the colour cover of my magazine in order to make it look alike ans uniform and als match he three colour code of my magazine. the slug  lines represents the writings in my double page spread and the boxes shows where I would put my images.

  these are some of the poses my models will be using for my music magazine cover and contents page I choose these images because they have very good posture and shows the modes full outfit and style it like a long shot of the model.
 I will also be using a close up as well so that the model's face will be seen closely and clear and show facial expressions.

This is the model release form  my model has filled in to give permission for me to use her as my model and take images of her to use for my music magazine and this also includes the location of my photo shoot studio and when and where I plan on doing my photo shoot and also the address and permission slip required .

This is a close up of my model
the second image is a long shot of my model, I have chosen to use this model because  she has the quality I required my model to have:
skinny, confident, pretty tall and has a nice shape.

 This is a test shot of my model and also helps me improve on how I want her to look and the location I need to create for my models photo shoot and also the quality of my models pictures.

    The positive and good side to this test shoot is the the picture is very clear and bright I used high key lightening so as to be able to show her facial expressions, skin tone, make up and accessories. for the 1st picture I made it a close up in order to capture parts of her outfits and accessories and also to show her kind of pose facial expressions, also her outfits is colourful and goes with the idea that pop is bright and colourful and her accessories also make it different from normal shots.

    The negative side to this shots is that the second shot location is not very good its very obvious that the photo has been taken on the street and it dose not go well with the pop/RNB theme, also the camera is a bit too distant from the model and the dress code colour dose not match the colour code of the outfit I want my model to have and the dress dose not go directly with the costume I want my model to wear and have.

  However these test shots have helped me to know where I need to improve on when taking the original shots for my model and also to find a better location for photo shoot and work more on the costume required.

Research and planning: location for photo shoot

For my photo shoot I have decided to use the pure space studio in London, I choose this location because the environment is secure quiet and appropriate for my shoot, I plan on using a plain white background as it compliments the models skin tone and also matches the colour code of my magazine and make my model stand out in the background. I choose the studio at London because its nice looking very comfortable and its quite different others.

        for my photo shoot the props i will need are:
A white velvet piece of cloth or paper - for the background
Three background lights - to create high key lightening
An SLR camera - to take the photos

Resarch and planning: Music magazine inspiration

 
These magazine covers inspired me to base magazine on a simple background and also got me thinking about the colour scheme of my magazine and outfits needed by model, these magazine are unique and same because the outfits the models are wearing blends in with the background colour as ths make the magazine stand out and look brilliant.
  for my magazine I have decided to make  my colour scheme red black and white,and my models outfits would be red and white so it can blend in with the magazine cover. and the mast head would be the biggest font and written in red colour the background would be plain white , story lines and other information on the cover will be done in black and red.

Research and Planning: Plan for the week

For this week my plan would be to:

• complete my production schedule 
• take test shots of potential models 
• decide the location for my photo shoots 
• choose my models for my magazine 
• upload images of model I have decided to use.
• upload a music magazine inspiration and analysis it for my music magazine.

Research and Planning: Genre colour scheme associated with models.

I choose pop/RnB as my music magazine genre and my model needs to have the  fun look, be pretty and outstanding and also she also has to wear pretty outfits that match the colour scheme of the music magazine and blends in with the background. According to my audience research they associated bright colours with pop magazines  and fancy colours so I have decided to use white and red not just because they are bright colours but also because the are well colour coded and make a perfect match together.

Research and planning: location recce.

For my music magazine photo shoot, I have decided to make my own little photo studio and, I have decided to use a white background as it blends in with any colour and most especially because I want my music magazine cover and contents page to be red and white so the background for my shoot will suit my magazine colour following the colour code. I have also set about to find the perfect location to set up a photo studio so I can organize a photo shoot with my models.
